Finding Your Property

Now you have decided where you want to live and what type of property you want, register with local estate agents. Call in to as many as you can to see what is on the market at the moment, ask for the property details and register your details for properties as they come on to the market. A good agent will call you or send new details to you, but since we are all human, sometimes this doesn't happen. It is good practice to call in regularly to the estate agents to see what's new. Look in the local papers too and on the Internet. Bear in mind though that some agents do not have websites or list all properties on the Net. Calling in personally, or phoning the agent regularly also shows that you are a serious buyer.

You will probably find that you will see lots of properties in a short space of time, so it is always handy to write notes about each property you see to prompt you in regard to the good and bad points. You will need a pretty good memory otherwise!
